Learn how IBAO is responding to COVID-19 — TAKE ME THERE
Since its introduction less than a year ago, we’ve seen record registration for our Ethics eLearning course, Ethical Steps: Facing Ethical Situations in Insurance—over 4,500 brokers have registered.

We released Ethical Steps in October last year in response to RIBO’s introduction of an ethics continuing education requirement for brokers. Its timely release was made possible by last year’s launch of our custom eLearning platform, My IBAO Learning Path. The platform was designed to allow us to create tailor-made courses to address changes in the industry and to present a modern user experience, allowing brokers to take continuing education offerings anytime, anywhere.

“The eLearning platform has allowed us to reimagine the way we deliver continuing education to our members,” said IBAO Education Supervisor & Instructional Designer Kevin O’Hare. “The fact we were able to create and deploy this course so quickly, while supporting so many of our members, demonstrates the capabilities made possible by IBAO’s investment in education.”

The course is offered free of charge and is exclusively available to IBAO Members. For brokers who’ve already taken the course and are looking to earn their Ethics Hour next year, we’ll be holding a live webinar in the fall, Ethical Considerations for Brokers. After the initial webinar, we plan to adapt the content into an on-demand eLearning course.

Brokers have until September 30th to fulfill their RIBO education requirements, which include one Ethics Hour for any licensed broker.
