DEI Strategy

This document sets IBAO’s direction, priorities, objectives and commitments on DEI. It aligns with our organizational purpose and focuses on attracting and developing the best talent to support social and economic development of our collective communities.

DEI E-Learning Courses

We’ve added our first two eLearning courses on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to My IBAO Learning Path. The first course is facilitated by the Canadian Association of Black Insurance Professionals (CABIP) and the second is provided by the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC). These accredited courses will provide you with a solid foundation for thinking about DEI issues and both are free for IBAO Members.

2023 DEI Calendar

Our 2023 DEI Calendar celebrates the diverse and inclusive nature of our IBAO community—promoting respect and understanding between all groups.

Land Acknowledgment

Acknowledging the land is an Indigenous protocol used to express gratitude and to honour the Indigenous people who have lived and worked on the land historically and presently. IBAO is providing its members with a document where we can formally recognize the Indigenous Peoples and their traditional territories.
