CAIB 1 - General Insurance
Personal lines risk, the role of government, the distribution channel, habitational insurance and related coverage, personal liability, farm risk, auto insurance and the role brokers play in the industry.
CAIB 2 - Commercial Insurance
Commercial lines including property forms, underwriting, additional coverage, transportation, crime and business interruption.
CAIB 3 - Commercial Insurance Liability
Exposure identification and the Canadian legal system as it relates to general liability – commercial auto, marine, aviation, surety and risk management.
CAIB 4 - Brokerage Management
Human resources, culture, technology, operating systems, the relationship with insurance companies, financial management and monitoring effectiveness.

A 4-day instructor-led course including hands-on exercises, group discussion and practical applications of content. This condensed format makes it possible to complete the designation within one year. Recommended for individuals wanting to focus on their studies without distractions.
Classes are run hybrid with the options to attend in-person at the IBAO classroom, or virtually through Zoom.
