Our industry is rapidly evolving and the young brokers of today will be the future leaders of tomorrow — but why wait that long?

If you want to take on a leadership role and get involved with the industry at a higher level, becoming a YBC Team Leader might be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

1.  You get to attend and participate in the YBC Conference and Convention — with (some) expenses paid.

“To me the YBC is a unique opportunity to take a step back and see the industry from a broader perspective,” says Jeremy Girouard, outgoing Team Leader for Territory 13. “I really enjoyed trying to get younger brokers to feel that they’re a part of something bigger, to demonstrate that we are more teammates than competitors.”

2.  You’ll have opportunities to contribute to IBAO initiatives including Education, and Recruitment.

“You break into groups to tackle one major topic each year. Being part of the Education Committee was a fantastic experience,” says Ryan Craig, outgoing Team Leader for Territory 4. “The most rewarding work was helping formulate the Cannabis webinar.”

3. While gaining valuable experience, you’ll build your professional network and forge new friendships.

“YBC expanded my network in the broker community exponentially,” says Jeremy. “It’s very helpful to have a network to rely on when you need some direction.”

“I would encourage anyone interested to join the YBC. The work is rewarding, you’ll learn a lot, have a great time and make friendships that will last a lifetime,” says Ryan.

We need ambitious, talented brokers to fill some upcoming vacancies on the board of the Young Brokers Council. In addition to Ryan and Jeremy’s positions in Territory 4 and 13, we also have openings in Territory 1, 5 and 8. If you’re interested in applying, see the YBC Team Leader Job Description for more details.
