Last week we hosted elections for the IBAO Territory Director of Toronto York Peel and for Ontario East. We’d like to congratulate Sam Jazayeri from Prime Service Insurance and Brian Erwin from McDougall Insurance & Financial on their successful elections as the Directors for Toronto York Peel and Ontario East respectively.
Sam is the Director of Operations at PrimeService Insurance. He was previously the Young Broker Council representative for Toronto/York region. He obtained his CAIB designation in 2018 and works part-time a Facilitator for IBAO Education.
Brian was re-elected for his Territory, originally joining the IBAO Board of Directors as the Territory 13 Director for Ottawa and the Upper Ottawa Valley in 2019. He’s been with the Ottawa-based D.S. Currey & Son Insurance Brokers since 2001, which merged with McDougall in 2020. He currently sits on the Ottawa Insurance Brokers Association’s Board as a Director and is the Ontario Representative on the Facility Association’s Board of Directors.
We’re very pleased to also announce the appointment of Pamela Derksen from NFP to the position of Director of IBAO to replace Mark Rouleau, who has stepped down from the board after accepting a new role at Wawanesa Insurance.
Pam is licensed across Canada (Quebec exam pending) and acts as Principal Broker/Designated representative in all jurisdictions across Canada for NFP Canada Corp. and its affiliated legal entities. Pam is the Chief Compliance Officer for Canada for NFP across P&C, Life and Benefits. Pam also sits on the Board of Directors of Wellkin Child and Youth Mental Wellness.
All three Directors will serve on your behalf until April 2026.
