A key focus of IBAO is advocating to the government on important issues facing the broker channel. We’ve been working alongside government bodies on a high level and now we’re extending our approach by launching a large grassroots initiative, which gives brokers a chance to voice their concerns directly to their representatives.
As the first step in this initiative, we’re facilitating caucus meetings with a group of member brokers and the leaders of each of the three major parties. We’ll be connecting MPPs with brokers from their constituencies so they can address issues that affect their specific communities.
Brokers are an important voice for consumers and only by engaging the government will the broker channel and its customers have the protections they need. Moving forward, we’ll be enabling further contact between brokers and their representatives.
