Technology is transforming the business of insurance. This course explores the technology that underpins data flow in the P&C insurance industry, and looks at emerging technology that has the power to revolutionize our industry.
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Define standards and describe how standards are used in the world around yo
- Identify the roles that data standards play in insurance, and how standards apply to the daily work of brokers
- Identify the forms that digital data standards take (i.e. XML, EDI, JSON, etc.)
- Describe the evolving Commercial Lines Data Standards (new developments, minimum data standards, tips for quoting small business).
- Discuss applications of standards in emerging technology, such as AI and autonomous vehicles
