Customer Service Representative
IBAO has developed three distinct educational career paths for professional insurance brokers. The first career path is designed for the Customer Service Representative or CSR in a brokerage office.

The following three programs represent the recommended education steps for CSRs:


Customer Service for the Insurance Professional is a four-part certificate program dealing with the critical services role of the Customer Service Representative. The program explores every aspect of brokerage's operations from a customer service perspective and focuses on the exact job functions of those that deal with the clients. It is offered in both a facilitated and self-study format. 

The Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program, is a four part national designation program that takes an in-depth look at technical coverages and business management strategies in the Canadian insurance marketplace.The program is broken down into four main parts - CAIB 1, CAIB 2, CAIB 3 and CAIB 4, and the courses can be taken in any order.

The Canadian Professional Insurance Broker (CPIB) program is a national six part designation program that is designed for brokers who have earned their CAIB or CIP designation, and are seeking a specialization and/or want a program to enhance their knowledge of the insurance industry. Brokers can select one of three streams of specialization depending on their interests.
