Canadian government announced $6.6 million funding toward Canadian crime victims, and IBAO also recognizes the importance of this worthy cause and has committed to a Platinum Sponsorship of the Canadian Crime Victim Foundation.

The federal government recently announced that it will provide $6.6 million of funding to improve support for victims of crime over the next two years.  IBAO is pleased with this decision, and echoes the government’s dedication to organizations such as the Canadian Crime Victim Foundation (CCVF).

As a result, IBAO has made a commitment to be a platinum sponsor of CCVF, an organization that provides support and empowers victims of crime by providing resources and effecting positive change to victim services in Canada.

“We are so committed to raising awareness for such an important cause,” says Randy Carroll, IBAO CEO.  “An organization like CCVF is extremely dedicated to informing Canadians and providing assistance to the families and friends who have been affected by senseless crime. Ontario brokers are committed to this cause.”

CCVF will host their 8th Annual Gala on May 28, 2010, which will aim to raise both funds and awareness for the foundation. The Gala will be held at the Rivera Parque in Vaughan, ON. Tickets are $125 per person or full tables are available for $1,000. The Gala will be MC’d by Susan Hay and will feature special guest Senator Pamela Wallin.

For more information on tickets or to make a donation to the organization please contact Joe Wamback at Canadian Crime Victim Foundation, 905-898-7472 or ccvf@ccvf.net.
